JTS Case Study · Husqvarna Group · Amazon PO Automation

Automating Amazon purchase orders for Husqvarna’s warehouse

Husqvarna Group ran its ordering and fulfilment on databases and interfaces dating back to a 1980s system. J Tech Solutions re-platformed that workflow into a cloud web application that ingests Amazon purchase orders, automates fulfilment for the warehouse and prints the shipping labels. It is bilingual, faster than the legacy tool, and adopted by staff and third-party partners alike.

The brief

Re-platform a 1980s ordering workflow without stopping the warehouse

Husqvarna Group’s Japan operation received a high daily volume of Amazon purchase orders, each with its own delivery centre, shipping window and fulfilment rules. The data lived in legacy databases and interfaces built on a system dating back to the 1980s: slow to search, awkward to order from, and impossible to scale as Amazon volumes grew.

The goal was a cloud interface the warehouse team could actually work in (fast, bilingual and forgiving) without a risky “big bang” cutover. It had to keep talking to the existing stock data while automating the repetitive parts of the Amazon PO process end to end.

How we built it

A cloud console for the Amazon PO process, end to end

Amazon PO & Direct Fulfilment intake

The console pulls in both order streams (standard Amazon POs and Direct Fulfilment) and lays every line out with its delivery centre, ship window (start and end dates), quantities and value, filterable by date range and status.

A bridge to the 1980s stock system

Bespoke middleware imports stock data out of the legacy databases and keeps it in sync, so the cloud console always reflects real inventory without anyone re-keying it. The old system keeps running while the new one does the work.

Fulfilment automation

The repetitive steps (matching POs to stock, confirming windows, batching orders by delivery centre and generating the paperwork) are automated, turning what was hours of manual handling each week into a few clicks.

One-click shipping labels

A dedicated label-printing module produces the correct shipping labels straight from each order batch, so the warehouse goes from a screen of POs to picked, labelled and ready-to-ship without leaving the tool.

Admin tools & API monitoring

Role-based admin accounts, management tools and a live API-status view keep the integration healthy: the team can see at a glance whether the Amazon feeds and the stock bridge are running before a single order goes out.

Bilingual, cloud-hosted, adopted

The whole interface runs in Japanese and English at the flick of a toggle, hosted in the cloud for speed and reliability. After rollout it was picked up not just by in-house staff but by third-party partners working the same orders.

“Our orders are increasing day by day, and we believe the web solution will bring us even more benefits in the future. We really appreciate Chris & the team for the new technology and experience!”

The outcome

Faster ordering, hours back every week

With the data imported into an intuitive cloud interface, staff could find orders and place them far faster than the legacy system allowed. Automating the Amazon PO process took hours of repetitive work off the team every single week.

Adoption spread beyond the warehouse: after rollout, third-party partners began working in the same system alongside Husqvarna’s own team. A workflow that had been anchored to a 1980s stack was now a bilingual cloud tool the business could keep growing on.
